As was case in June, when mobile calls and text messaging went down for many in US and August, when global Internet traffic to major sites was disrupt, cause could be much more mundane than coordinated cyber-attack. However, there is no evidence this was case last night. Indicative of times we live in, whenever such outage impacts so many people, question of whether IT's ongoing cyber-attack is front and center. These issues appear to have started at around 5 PM ET, with not returning to normal for many until 10 PM ET. Instead, they were presented with transient error message informing them there was problem signing them in. Users of Office 365, Outlook, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Azure also report they were unable to login. ![]() ![]() Cloud-base Microsoft applications, including Microsoft Teams, go down across swathe of US yesterday.
